Hey FYI the main reason women get stress fractures in the Army is that the heavy rucksacks they carry WERE DESIGNED FOR MEN. They do a shit job of distributing weight to the hips (where we are stronger w our builds). It's a design flaw. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Every flashbang could instead be a meal for a poor kid. Every hotel room for a National Guardsman deployed to fire at our neighbors could house a homeless vet. Every "less-than-lethal" bullet pulled from a journalist's eye could be already needed healthcare for anyone else. All of this is a choice.

I don't generally participate in the New Years Resolution, but I've been re-engaging with a lot of things I've left behind this year. There's power in ritual and communal action. The combined intentionality perhaps is what I need to succeed where I've failed before.

My idea about social media is the same about friendship. It is a worldbuilding choose your own adventure put your time and effort into what you care about endeavor. If you choose to engage joyfully and with care with interesting decent people, you will have a lovely world.
