Tesla’s Robotaxi is crashing roughly once every 40,000 miles so far in Austin, and that's with a human safety supervisor in vehicle.

For comparison, the average human driver in the US crashes about once every 500,000 miles.

Trump Pretends To Block State AI Laws; Media Pretends That’s Legal
The mainstream media just failed a basic civics test so badly that you'd think their brains have been pickled by the kinds of folks who spend all their time on X (oh, wait…). Headlines across major outlets are breathlessly reporting that Donald Trump "blocked states from passing AI laws" with an executive order. Except, that's not how any of this works, and anyone who stayed awake during middle school social studies should know better.

Couple of things here:

1. Trump says he took another cognitive test recently

2. In front of "large numbers of doctors and experts"

3. He called the examinations "long...and very boring"

4. If you're given 3 cognitive exams in one year by panels of doctors, something is VERY wrong with you

I just got a pitch calling them smart frames... plz end me.
So, asking for a friend — what are we calling the next-generation of face computers?

AI glasses? XR glasses? WIRED XR glasses? AR glasses? Smart glasses because that's the most obvious one and why are companies trying to differentiate?!

Nobody seems to agree!

We're doing a series of behind the scenes style devlogs where we discuss how and why we came upon certain systems in Demonschool. This first one is about our battle system. We want to be more transparent about our process, and this is one step toward that! www.youtube.com/watch?v=wN3p...

This is such an issue, one I got conned by recently (the "animal shelter lets dogs choose" video) and I'm not sure how useful their guidelines are for identifying the fakes.
Love to see the Sedgwick County Zoo putting out a good explainer on why GenAI slop videos of animals are a problem & how to identify them! It’s succinct, easy to read, and doesn’t shame people for not knowing better. A+ useful link to share with family and friends.
