80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.

Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

The pre-Trump Republican Party?

So the one that lied us into the Iraq War and tried to privatize Social Security under Bush II?

There is no recent golden age. They have been the party of capital and social reactionaries for decades.
Schumer told Annie Karni and Luke Broadwater: “Here’s my hope … after this election, when the Republican party expels the turd of Donald Trump, it will go back to being the old Republican party.”

"With Democrats Like These, Who Needs Republicans?"

Democratic leadership is moving to the center & adopting Republican talking points to court MAGA voters who will never accept them, while throwing their base under the bus.

1. This morning, California Governor said he was in "complete alignment" with anti-LGBTQ+ hate-influencer Charlie Kirk of TPUSA on transgender sports.

He also conceded on trans inmates and gender affirming care for youth.

It's so much worse than being reported.

-The stock market is in a free-fall today.
-Prices are STILL rising.
-Public servants, hundreds of thousands of whom are veterans, are now jobless and in deep trouble.
-Republicans are sidling up to Putin.

This is NOT OK.

📌So a question:
Where are Hakeem Jeffries or Chuck Schumer???

SPEAK UP!!!

Whomever is advising the Democrats right now is criminally bad at their job. The notion that they can meme their way out of fascism is truly incredible.

The silence of the free speech advocates in the midst of these waves of ideological purges and the use of state power to eradicate discussion of disfavored ideas — in this case and most cases, discussion of racism and Blackness — has been something to behold. Harper’s letter writers are MAD quiet.
The US Attorney in Washington DC is investigating Georgetown Law School, demanding that "if DEI is found in your courses or teaching in anyway [sic]," the law school should "move swiftly to remove it"

Federal prosecutors don’t control the classroom. This is a dark abdication of the First Amendment.

What Slotkin means here is "fuck Black people."

Harris spent MOST of her time reaching out to Republicans, but she didn't deny the Black existence and that is too much "speaking to the base" for Democrats like Slotkin.
This is so profoundly strange from @slotkin.senate.gov. The Harris campaign ran one of the most aggressive outreach efforts to moderates, independents, and soft Republicans in recent memory!

i am once again saying that if you allow polling to define rights, you don't have any real rights at all
the problem with the "trans sports participation is a loser / 80-20 issue" framing is that it ignores how it got that way. it didn't just happen out of nowhere. It's been a 5+ year campaign by Republicans to make it an 80-20 issue, and noone fought back.

Sesame Street really tells the story of America:

- Created for PBS to educate young (especially Black!) children
- Becomes a beloved institution cherished by the entire country
- Gets privatized and kicked to premium cable due to budget cuts
- Unionization leads to mass layoffs

What a country!

Trump's repeated attacks on "DEI," "wokeness," and the trans community have one clear purpose:

COLBERT, on Rep. Al Green’s removal:
