I am so glad that my wife got me hooked on Nebraska volleyball so that I can just watch that while waiting to see what unbelievably stupid thing Ole Miss is about to do.

When you are an Ole Miss alum who married into Husker fandom and all your joy in this football season has been sucked up by the egomaniac at head coach, this was me during first shift too.

(Mildly) Hot taek: The Big Ten is easily doing more damage to college football as we know and love it and is simultaneously doing nothing to make their on-field product (exciting play, poor officiating, etc.) better but gets 10% of the hate the SEC does. This isn't to defend the SEC, but just saying

This is a tremendous interview. I do need to get this book. I mostly am sharing it here because of the early discussion where Wright Thompson talks about not learning this stuff in school right down the road and having teachers call it "the war of northern aggression"

I know everyone is posting their pictures, but this magnetic storm is nuts. Not only do I not have to drive into an empty cornfield to see these, but the red in first picture is visible to the naked eye.

My grandfather was a very quiet man. He was a Seabee on Iwo Jima after the US captured the island, but before it was cleared. For both me and my father, this book that was less about the tactics of battle and more what those on Iwo endured taught us so much about his dad/my Paw Paw

Can't overstate how fucked up it is that unraveling what is arguably the greatest achievement in the history of humanity is now a motivating issue of one of the two dominant parties in the U.S.
FL is moving forward w/ plan to end all childhood vaccine mandates. Starting with hepatitis B, chickenpox, and the bacteria causing meningitis and pneumonia. Then next year GOP FL legislature is expected to revisit 1977 law re: whooping cough, measles, polio, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, and tetanus.

Started attending Ole Miss in 2008. Never heard a soul refer to the Memphis game as the "Mid-South Rivalry". I don't even know who would come up with that. Ole Miss never claims Memphis as a rival, & between "Black & Blue Bowl" and "Battle for the Bones", Memphis is better than that at rivalry names
Here is every rivalry with both ‘South’ and ‘Rivalry’ in the name.
