I'm 36, said "dealio" in a work meeting today. I am now dust. 90's Cheeto dust.
You know, even given inflation and price gouging, still tend to feel this way. The demand to incorporate generative AI, though—
I work for a big brand, at least in my industry, but if anything I'm a little under median pay for Seattle. But would I give up relative anonymity, a good team, a steady work pace, AND now deal with "ideas guys" more often for a $30K raise?

Gotta admit, these days? Probably not!

Life lately has all been work, and my industry is small enough it’s probably easy to triangulate who I am based on the release schedule

All I know is I wish I had more time to screw around in fandom

Fun thing about cognition post-COVID:

Eventually you recover just enough to accurately grasp all your minority stressors

But still not well enough to deal with it, rationally at least

💉 - Saturday’s injection day. Still a little odd to swap out bore needles on the syringes, but estrogen valerate is so damn thick.

Life update: finally started HRT

Why yes I did psych myself out for 5 years about it

Yeah, see, DON’T do that

Sometimes I take offence on behalf of my past selves. Overheard, “weirdos who’d be werewolves if you’d let them.”

Who among us were not weirdos online at 13? Back off, they’re cool and take on outdoors time, it’s,,, aspirational

I’m a grumpy old Millennial, but “actually” and the gang is overplayed.

“It’s actually lowkey fun how this weird cookie recipe is good” — it’s not surprising a cookie with pistachio might be good! Nuts and chocolate go well together! Who are you trying to convince?!

Starting S2 of “Wednesday.” On one hand, yeah, she does strike me as queer, and there’s something about things with Enid.

On the other, the core evidence as of S1 comes to, “You’ve made out with, like, two attractive white boys and you’re unimpressed?”

The knowledge that a prosecutor might well get sacked if they don’t find incriminating evidence in matters deemed politically important by Trump really makes you wonder about the incriminating evidence in ongoing matters deemed politically important by Trump
"President Donald Trump is expected to fire the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia after his office was unable to find incriminating evidence of mortgage fraud against New York Attorney General Letitia James, according to sources."

Been thinking a lot about queer spaces and organizing, in light of everything going on lately

Real talk: Are your ~queer spaces~ actually safe for any large subset of people, or just let Dina “work things out” for the 234th time? And then to what end?

The news comes after President Donald Trump recently clawed back more than a billion dollars of funding for public broadcasting.

CNN's "exclusive" of "new" Trump & Epstein photos was literally just their reporters looking through old materials they had sitting there for 20+ years. The legacy media has been complicit in the cover-up.
The media finding new Trump/Epstein stuff now truly underscores how much they DID NOT LOOK back in 2016, because he was making them money.

Screw the American legacy media.

really interesting that we don’t have a cultural panic about group think and intellectual homogeneity among the most powerful money men in the country. all the more interesting when a bunch of them have clearly lost their mind.
I wrote about venture capitalist Shaun Maguire, his accusations that Zohran Mamdani is a "secret Islamist," and his emergence as a leading right wing voice in the tech industry.

"Sale–leaseback" is how Red Lobster went bankrupt and Russian oligarchs got rich. It is a standard tactic for extracting value and making someone else foot the bill. Hence the Trump–Musk interest.
