Disappointing to see an ostensibly progressive professor hit the classic trio of dodges for -ist behavior:
1) I don't remember it happening, so it must not have happened.
2) If it did happen, you're taking it out of context.
3) If it's not out of context, it's your fault.

Alma is a disabled activist and the daughter of a US Navy vet.
She was attending her monthly immigration check in with her lawyer when ICE grabbed her.
I wrote about her and other disabled people being abused at the hands of ICE.

Rejecting the premise here. "AI" is not coming for your job. Companies are dumping people because they are putting more money into AI investment, not because there is labor replacement via productivity.

I don't know for truth whether or not revenge is a drug. Don't know the science. Too worried about spreading bad science.
But it certainly feels that way when you look at what it's doing to people, including myself.
