Um. You guys. Some news. I earned out on this book! I'm getting my first royalty check EVER. Thanks to everyone who's bought a copy, requested it @ their library, told people about it, has it on a future list, is buying it for family & friends for the holidays (books make great gifts!) etc.

Do you write stories between 1000 and 3000 words? We've been receiving fewer submissions in our Fiction category lately, so it's a good time to hit us up. We're open for free subs until the end of November & for Tip Jar subs until Dec 15. Thank you! https://buff.ly/32k496o

My story collection I'M NOT HUNGRY BUT I COULD EAT centers messy queer Puerto Rican men, their desires and pursuits of emotional satiation. But most of all it's a love letter to my twenties, all those long lonely nights and the brief sparks of connection found and lost.

This is still my advice: Become a writer anyway. Fuck it, do it, it won't save you, but it's still a beautiful dream to write novels and short stories and poems and mingle with other dreamers and make art and laugh in the face of death. And writing is constant death. Live más.
