Still trying every day to learn something from the past, survive the present, and figure out how to make a better future. Also, I like trains.
If there's a goal that you remember, which goal would that be?
showing up at the border "look. look at my flannels. i've seen the log driver's waltz cartoon many times. i can sing every word to the wreck of the edmund fitzgerald. i hold the door open for strangers every time. i know about the pickled eggs. i can order a double double (altho i won't)"
trying to download my canadian citizenship certificate and the portal to do so is bugged as of *checks reddit, looks at camera* at least four years ago

Many things are bad. I propose everyone find a friend they can talk to in the voice of the SNL sketch "Pedro Pascal wakes up from a coma", like how delighted Seth Myers is while doing it too: youtu.be/Dlz369f21zY?...

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

It’s extraordinary that anyone would even think ‘the normies won’t care about the East Wing’. Conservation of built heritage is one of the most powerful normie causes going, it matters enough to have entire fields of law in every country, and an industry strong enough to employ people like me

Discussing pronunciation of Internetisms with the family this evening, as one does. Minor controversy over whether LMAO is pronounced "Le Mayo" (some USA-based marketer's attempt at naming a fancy condiment) or "L'Mao" (a character from a forgettable episode of Star Trek).

Design vocabulary aside, the big problem with Adisoke is that it's too small. It would be cramped enough if it was just serving as the central branch of the Ottawa Public Library. It would be insufficient if it only housed the Library and Archives of Canada. Trying to accommodate both is ridiculous.
The near-complete Adisoke, Ottawa’s new central library. Presented without comment.

But in the late 1990s, a Wired journalist warned of a toxic ideology bubbling up from tech. Paulina Borsook has largely been erased. Let's change that
