Job hunting in a time of nationwide persecution.

Aircraft Maintenance is governed primarily at the federal level. If the federal government makes it a liability to employ transgender people, then the career I've devoted nine years of my life to is GONE.

Not to be alarmist, but this is the most radical presidential action I've ever seen. He's straight up seizing Congress' budget power. What do laws matter if the mad king's whims dictate what gets enforced and where money goes?

It's not a policy memo - it's a revolution. Don't let it be a quiet one.
Trump is blowing up the Constitution and dismantling democracy before our eyes.

Freezing all federal grants is a radical transformation of the relationship between the President & Congress.

It’s illegal & dictatorial & Americans will die as a result.

As someone who has reported on AI for 7 years and covered China tech as well, I think the biggest lesson to be drawn from DeepSeek is the huge cracks it illustrates with the current dominant paradigm of AI development. A long thread. 1/

We’re basically seeing this again. OpenAI with Sam Altman is so good at raising capital (incl. now from SoftBank) that it's covering up the company’s technical & commercial weaknesses. See this @ainowinstitute.bsky.social report from @bcmerchant.bsky.social. 23/

She even pretty please bowed at me during the call.

welp this made my eyes bug out of my head. and no one even applied a tourniquet to me.

hopefully this came from a legalese brainstorm
Doing my refresher training before my first aid/CPR/AED recertification session on Saturday and I just want to know what incident prompted the module that tells learners never, ever apply a tourniquet to a neck wound.

🏆 managed without ER or urgent care. tho not without a lot of 🤮 & carefully timed 💊.

And perhaps unwise staggering from bed to bathroom thru nystagmus and sensory rollercoaster of convincing lies. 1/x

We’ve got a VERY cold night ahead for the state.

We’ll be waking up to widespread teens in the morning. Drip your indoor faucets tonight and make sure to bring in your fur babies. Stay warm! #arwx

Apple has opted iOS and MacOS users into an AI photo scanning feature which tries to extract landmarks from your photos called Enhanced Visual Search by default with little notice.

You can take down the "about us pages" at health insurance companies but good luck taking down the SEC-required documents like the proxy statements that outline executive compensation (DEF 14A) or financial reports like the 10Q and 10K. The names are still there.

I will go further and say that I think the whole notion of a corporation is inherently bad and overwhelmingly likely to tend toward evil, and I've felt that way since I took corporate law as a 2L.
You know what I can do nuance on this one.

Becoming a billionaire requires a series of exploitive actions to have been taken, either by oneself or by one's family. In the latter case, it is possible to come into the state blamelessly, but staying there is bad for everyone including you.
There’s a lot of discourse about CEOs and billionaires right now. It’s hard to have this convo on TikTok but I think Bluesky can handle it with nuance.

Are all billionaires bad?
