It’s 100% disrespectful. I know so many people of so many generations that use names that aren’t their ID first names. most of them are cis gender, not that it should matter.

also, call a plumber for advice as to when you really need to call the plumber. they will be booked. so maybe booking now but being prepared to cancel.

and identify any shut off valves. but don't use them yet.

I offer more thorough suggestion / permission with the sink bath or basin hauling because I always feel better when I can sluice more water on me. even from a dripping wash cloth.

for washing up?

if drain works, you can fill a basin/several mixing bowls w/ water & to use in to the tub. not the best time. sometimes a sloshy sink "bath" and then hair wash standing on towels in the kitchen is easier. mine has a sprayer. hence hair washing.

don't close the taps, keep the cabinet doors open, and keep that space heater parked next to your plumbing path. another space heater along a likely path (liken a hall if the shower/tub has the taps on that side) or, if you're not sure, in front of the pipes under the sink.

don't despair yet. you don't know the state of the plumbing-- whether it's frozen or damaged and frozen.

i have a bathroom like this -- down to requiring space heaters to keep the tub from freezing. parts of my crawlspace are impossible to winterize
