it is with deep sadness that we had to make the horrible decision to put Chonk down today. he had been struggling more & more with consistent heart failures... thankful we got to give him such a happy short life. it's not fair at all... I loved him more than I can say.

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.
