Intro post 👋
My name is Alda, I use they/them pronouns and I'm from and living in Iceland. This account will be mainly focused on astrology and spirituality, but aside from those things I'm a queer and anti-capitalist activist, artist and creator.

You don't have to commodify your witchcraft to be valid. That's capitalism, babes.

I mean feel free you should be fairly compensated for your energy & experience, if you choose to share your practice that way.

This goes for hobbies too. #witchsky

This whole thread feels much more funny / karmic / Saturnian as I just realised those gender neutral changing rooms were introduced while I was on the board of Trans Iceland and we were somewhat involved in the change, and lobbying heavily for inclusive public bath/changing rooms 😆
This is in no small part thanks to the fact that the staff at Reykjavík's pools have been *amazing* during the last two years. Every pool has private, gender neutral changing rooms and I've been lucky enough never to get any negative reaction when I ask for those.

My Mercury cazimi moment last week was when, during a therapy session, I realised that where I probably feel the safes and most relaxed in when I'm in the pool. Which, first of all, as a trans person I never really thought I'd feel all that safe going to public pools, but also...

Until Saturn goes back into Aries next February 13th, all dispositor chains go through Jupiter to the Moon? 🤯 guess we gotta get used to the lack of stability, huh?

Did a ritual last night with a couple of other gender deviants 😇 We called in the deities and all the ancestors whose gender didn't fit their assigned gender or the gender roles of their time. We asked them to send strength to our siblings all over the world and to welcome those who had passed 🤍

I know times are tough and it seems like only us trans folks care about Trans Day of Remembrance. So I just wanted to share with you all how my city, Reykjavik, is publicly showing support today. Please do share onwards if this helps you feel less invisible

There are many different ways to practice astrology and none of them are wrong except for when you use chatgpt to practice astrology.

Lmao guess what I finally managed to get done today, on Mars' day again 😂
It was the least painful injection I've ever had actually (nurse had me lie in a comfy position and went suuuuper slow) but burned a bit longer afterwards than usual so... not too bad, Mars!
I'm a bit late with my hormonal injections and finally had time to get it done today. I wasn't psyched to be getting an injection on Mars' day (it's ended poorly before so I try to avoid it) and apparently the universe agreed bc even though I was so sure I'd renewed the Rx it hadn't come through 😅

Re: this week's New Moon being on the Transgender Day of Remembrance. If you're doing a New Moon ritual, spare a moment of it to send strength to trans people all over the world, and send some words/donations/hugs to trans people around you 💖
Been thinking about this timing a LOT 🥺 and how this is such a significant lunation, with Mercury cazimi and the water trines... if ever there was a time for a queer New Moon ritual to strengthen support for trans people... 👀

I'm writing a short essay for uni focused on the houses in astrology, specifically the houses pertaining to social groups (which is a pretty core element in ethnography & folklore studies). My question for my astrologers is: when it comes to groups in the 11H, where/how do you draw the line?
the line has to be drawn here is written on a picture of a man
Alt: Gif purely for attention: Quark from Star Trek says "The line has to be drawn here. This far and no further."

Mostly I've been stuck at home (Sag 4H) as my 2 flatmates and I go through the flu in succession 🤧 don't know how I feel about it going through my 3H during final exams at uni but we'll see how it goes 🥲🙏
How is the Mercury retrograde going for everyone?

Finally started watching Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and the first episode has a pretty epic scene with Captain Pike riding through the snow on a horse and I was like "huh I wonder if Pike has a canon birthdate and if he's a Sag, that would be funny!"

So far, Mercury Rx has been my phone constantly assuring me (like almost every day for the past week or so) that it will stop snowing soon despite not seeing a single snowflake for well over a week now ❄️
