I finished my slippers and felted them. Interesting 🧶
December 2, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Today’s knitting project while listening to my favourite podcast @quietriotpod.bsky.social is the second of a pair of felted slippers – the extremely popular Sailor Slippers by Annie Sews. I’m hoping to have felted them by the end of tomorrow so that I might actually get to wear them this winter! 🧶

It seems that the right wing media has launched another concerted attack on a female MP. And the centrists/progressives are going along with it because they won’t/cannot see that a change of leadership now will likely lead to an early election and Farage in power. I despair

The Tories and Farage howl about ‘benefit cheats’ losing pennies - meanwhile their billionaire mates dodge mountains of tax. DWP estimates £9.5 bn lost to benefit fraud/error in 2024-25. HMRC estimates £46.8 bn slipped through the cracks in 2023-24. #ukpolitics

Bullies like Farage think their ‘bantz’ won’t be remembered by the people they are made to. But I remember every anti semitic comment ever made to me starting more than 50 yrs ago when I was 5 and was told that I had killed Jesus. Which confused me. That ‘bantz’ is hurtful and frightening

It’s not a “US plan”, it’s Moscow’s plan, dictated to guilty men in the White House. Setting aside the injustices being pushed on Ukraine, this would be a disaster for European security & guarantee a war with 🇷🇺 in a few years, in which, presumably, 🇺🇸 and 🇷🇺 are on the same side.

Kudos to this young man who has got a change in the law so that landlords cannot advertise properties or sign contracts with university students before 1 March in the year the tenancy begins. Will remove a lot of stress from first year students. Impressed. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
