Ich sags jetzt mal ganz deutlich, so als Historiker: dieses Vergleichsverbot ist aus zwei Gründen völlig absurd. Einmal, was die tatsächliche Geschichte der Shoah angeht, und zum Zweiten in Bezug darauf, dass darin Geschichtsschreibung und Erinnerung durcheinander gebracht werden.
Der Hinweis, dass Vergleiche mit dem Nationalsozialismus nie treffen, weil der NS durch die Schoah einzigartig ist, stimmt sicherlich. Aber trotzdem war er ja ein faschistisches Staatssystem mit Strukturen die jenseits dessen schon vergleichbar sind mit anderen Strukturen und anderen Staaten.

Eine zweite Ebene des NS-Vergleichs: Offensichtlich legen es ja gewisse Teile der MAGA-Welt auf Referenzen und Anleihen wert. Ich frage mich: Vielleicht auch, weil der NS so allgegenwärtig ist, weil alle diese Referenzen (nur) auf diese Diktatur selbst kennen und verstehen.
Man muss mit NS-Parallelen stets vorsichtig sein, könnte mit Blick auf ICE dennoch im Grundsatz an Ernst Fraenkels Studie vom »Doppelstaat« denken. Demnach zerfällt der Staat in einen »Normenstaat«, der sich an Gesetzen orientiert, sowie in einen »Maßnahmenstaat«, der bloße Willkür walten lässt.
