It's basically ammonia or bleach, both of which are famously A-OK to just leave on your hands to evaporate, and that also have famously benign odors.

I've never liked how GIF went from a specific image file format that can be animated but is also limited to 256 colors to a generic term for what are now literal mp4 videos.
I've been making websites since 1998, these are not GIFs! Let's just call fiber internet telegraph wire while we're at it.
