A Killdeer pair nested in a tricky spot on our property, so we blocked off the area to keep them safe! Their eggs should hatch any day - until then, the parents are doing an amazing job protecting their nest. 🐣

After a week on the road and zero positive baby bird encounters, I'm back home and found a lake with six mallard ducklings and four juvenile killdeer.

Absolutely incredibly evening.

Can't wait to post some of the video, if anyone has any music ideas. 🪶🐣
