ideally we'd root this out of the transgender community first.

that and the aversion to transsexual - both the term, and y'know, damn trannies.

Maybe at some point we ought to examine how uncritical consumption of corporate IPs tuned to mass-market appeals and childhood nostalgia forms the core of a reactionary politics, because people would rather be cozy and cute and inoffensive than disturb the 'peace' of an unjust status quo.
apparently people on tumblr are doing a "hogwarts legacy pride week" (where they're sharing LGBTQ-themed hogwarts legacy content) how about you not do that let's stop trying to pretend like it is possible to make pro-LGBTQ content out of that franchise

We don't need more debate, we need guard rails building and works too turn back the steam rollers pushing us over the edge here. This crisis we face is not a philosophical one or a rational one nor a question of what is good policy. It's a crisis of humanity and our ability to protect it.

to commit to ANY kind of progressive politics or movement is to stare into the tar pit that is the soul of humanity and commit to scrubbing it clean with a fucking toothbrush.

you will not be compensated

you will not be thanked

you do it so the next bitch has to scrub less than you

1. Terrifying news for transgender people across the United States. In a late night development, the House Spending Bill was amended to ban transgender coverage for transgender ADULTS on medicaid!

A manager's amendment removed the words "for minors."

The seizure of all clinical lit on .gov domains means we are going to see an enormous sea change in answers. Those guard rails now contend against a vast amount of training data justifying endlessly searching for a "cause" or "source" rather than affirming trans people. That's terrifying.

Waking up early on the east coast is kinda like showing up to the mall two hours after the stores have closed.

The day is over, tomorrow hasn’t started yet, and security probably shouldn’t have let me walk around unsupervised.
