roasts only from irish people? this in and of itself is a roast of the irish people.

because us scots have a lot of opinions on this very important subject.
I am calling upon the people of Ireland to immediately begin construction of a thread on this site about how you or someone you know was roasted for a fashion choice. We need it.

All roasts must have come from Irish people *only*. Please respect this important rule, it makes a difference.

Why does this matter?

*Nearly all seafood, ~60% of fresh fruit and ~40% of veggies are imported.

*Research shows imported food has been increasingly linked to outbreaks.

*Foodborne illnesses (i.e.🦠 listeria, e. coli, salmonella🦠) can cause severe illness and death.

The truly maddening thing is that, unlike when I was a young man in science and the materials and engineering just weren’t there yet, the future is *right there.* The problem is *solved*. What’s holding us back is not just greed, but this bizarre nostalgia, an obsession with petro- masculinity.
Australia has so much electricity from solar power that it is going to start offering free electricity to everyone for at least three hours during the day as the wholesale price of power goes negative

yet another fantastic piece by comrade dr agro. i would implore people to read this.

even as i type and post this, i can feel my brain trying to comprehend it all.
I wrote about how 100% of the people we need to talk to in order to grow the anti-capitalist movement have some weird and harmful beliefs, but we still need to figure out a way to build with them:
Can people with bad political beliefs change?

it is easy to fall prey to such doomerism, but one useful rhetorical tool i have found in organising and activism is explaining to people that the revolution isn't some kind of magic wand that will fix everything; the struggle is eternal and will continue beyond our lifetimes.
I know you're getting piled on but I agree, there's no daylight between "other people can't change" and "there's nothing we can do, we should just lie back and rot." It's just doomerism and I have no time for it
