Very, very happy for all Seattleites right now. As a Portlander it's been incredible watching my hometown's rival town become such a wonderful city, and I can't wait to see renewed momentum under Mayor Wilson!
Wow. While we wait for the few remaining ballots to be counted, we feel like we have won this race. The recent drop put us nearly 1,400 votes ahead, just under the .5 percent threshold for a mandatory recount.

Some... surprisingly nice bike infrastructure on projects coming out of Alameda County right now. They recently downsized what was to basically be a freeway-ization of Mission Blvd in Fremont down to bike/ped safety and ramp rebuilds:

Clipper 2.0 is going to revolutionize how we get around the Bay. Something as simple as taking the bus to the train will be rewarded, not punished.

From my house in Berkeley to my friends in the Castro could be literally half the price as today.

Bay Area transit just had one of its most politically successful legislative sessions in part because of @transbaycoalition.bsky.social & our leadership in the pro-transit community.

But there is still a lot of work ahead - so come party it up & help raise funds to strengthen transit advocacy.

AC Transit's recent Realign service plan estimated hourly costs for a bus at $172/hour, where $343k would mean 2000 service hours.

A single bus running once an hour each way from Caltrain to the park (a twenty minute trip, with layover time) comes out to 1250 service hours.

Just run the bus!

Years ago, Midpen Open Space studied providing better access to Rancho San Antonio, its most popular park. Since then, the cities of Cupertino and Santa Clara have expanded the Silicon Valley Hopper microtransit such that it provides access not only to Rancho San Antonio, but nearby Fremont Older!

Yesterday I went to an East Bay Regional Parks board study session to encourage them to take a proactive leadership role in getting transit into their parks.

The nearest bus stop is over 1.5mi – the best way to get there was a 7mi bike ride from the nearest BART station.

Access includes meetings!

Recently, I spent 2 days walking across Acadia National Park from one end to the other. This was possible due to the presence of public transit, food, and lodging; in/around the park. So for the Boston Globe, I asked, what if this were the norm for more NPS sites?

Oh hey look, I know that guy in blue!

The Transit CEO Ridealong feels like part of a uniquely Bay Area openness in public agencies. I got to chat to so many wonderful agency staff and leaders about transit park access thanks to this wonderful event.

Thank you @bart.gov for making it happen!

Our trip spanned three Bay Area counties and several forms of transit. We loved spending time with riders and fellow transit agencies.

We’re proud we're ending Transit Month strong and we hope to see you all again soon! 👋

Public lands are meant to be enjoyed for generations to come. But staffing shortages, a looming shutdown and historical erasure are endangering the future of our national parks and public lands.

Had a small group hike to celebrate the Redwood Regional Park bus today. Still so excited we can just take the bus to *this*!

It's 17min on the train and 30min on the bus from San Francisco, and 21min on the train and 30min on the bus from Berkeley.
