What we name things in cities matters. Especially things that were built with a lot of public money and should be helping define the city. We sell names too often, and too cheaply, and too often to the same damn companies (yes you Rogers).

I don't know the other three books on the list, but Alison Bechdel's brilliant, poignant graphic novel Fun Home is a modern classic. Is it appropriate for elementary students? Well, no.
