You wanna win by one point or fuckin' thirty points, Charlie Brown?
I'm not the guy you kill, I'm the guy you buy! Are you so fucking blind that you don't even see what I am? I sold out Arthur for eighty grand and a three year contract. I'm the easiest part of your problem, and you're gonna kill me, Charlie Brown?

There is no economy good button, only an economy bad button, and Trump is pressing it
Still incredible how "the economy" was the top priority for voters in 2024 and so they voted in someone who in January 2025 started doing what he said he'd do and they immediately recognized that was terrible for the economy and their personal finances. 🤷‍♂️

There is no "economy good" button that an administration can press but there are many "economy bad" buttons and both Trump admins love to press them. Bush did a few too.
Every Republican president of my lifetime has destroyed the global economy and it doesn’t matter at all electorally
the enduring wishcasting power of "republicans are good at the economy" is truly something to behold

I was playing one of those time-pressure trivia games where you describe a person and your team has to guess and I described OJ Simpson as "an actor" who was tried for murder (I guess I was thinking about The Naked Gun?)
I think everybody has a “Wallace Shawn from Young Sheldon” — my first one would probably be “Vincent Price, the guy who did the voice of Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective”

Seth Meyers: what's the deal with Trump and aircraft carrier catapults? Steam? Ha ha.

Trump: Seth Meyers is a deranged hack--look at how he exaggerated this thing I said once about catapults--WHICH BY THE WAY I FEEL VERY STRONGLY SHOULD BE STEAM. ELECTRIC IS NOT AS GOOD AS MUCH CHEAPER STEAM.
Trump sets his sights on Seth Meyers.

Interesting, so you're telling me that there is a system that sets up specific rules about how money that is allocated to a recipient can be spent and that it is extremely important to ensure that those rules re what the money is spent on be followed? Any analogs in other parts of the government?
ROB SCHMITT: People are using SNAP benefits to get their nails done, to get their weaves and their hair. This is a really ugly program.

This isn't true but if it were it would be a more cost-efficient program so I would vote to make it true.

Sometimes I feel like the only person on gods green earth that will remember who was president in 2020.
Just for the record, in 2020:
- Wray was the FBI director Trump handpicked to replace Comey
- Jack Smith was in the Hague prosecuting Kosovo war crimes
- Garland was an appeals court judge
- Monaco was in private practice in LA

There was no Biden administration yet, crooked or otherwise.

He crazy.

I'm still losing my shit over this. We're done, we're cooked as a constitutional democracy if the executive branch can accept direct donations from private citizens to fund itself, completely divorced from Congress. This is like warlord shit.
The amount is meaningless — less than one day of salary. But the principle is important: once the armed services are paid by the oligarchs, they become a private militia, and we no longer have a country.

Trump has broken the record for most egregious constitutional violation in US history, previously held by Trump. This is the end of Art. I. It's corrupt and dictatorial. It also seems designed to provoke democrats NOT to react (oh you're against paying the troops 😏). BUT THEY FUCKING SHOULD REACT.
