I liked Parks and Rec before getting a local gov adjacent job.
It’s approximately one million times better now.

The fact that a lot of leftists despise Parks and Rec - one of the best and most sympathetic depictions of non-cop government in modern media - is a symptom of the fact that a lot of the left has no idea how to actually implement the policy proposals they want to enact.
The reason 30 Rock succeeds years later while parks and rec has aged like a toilet full of milk, is that 30 Rock doesnt shy away from portraying Liz Lemon as an obvious villian with a victim/hero complex, whereas Leslie Knope was played just a straight hero character, even tho she is a neolib shill

It’s so good.
Like, I knew it was gonna be solid because of who was involved but the balance of beauty and violence, the visceralness and urgency of its heart, and its absolute refusal to pull punches made it one of the best things I’ve seen in a long time

Saturday I wanted to ride to NoHoCX to watch the race, but when I tried to put on a kit the zipper blew out (self esteem took a solid hit to the groin)
Grabbed another kit, went to get on my bike - Di2 not charged. Sigh.

My favorite Twitter beef was with a bunch of semi-prominent transphobes that ended up trying to get me “fired” from the team I started by contacting one of the sponsors I worked for.
one of the very funny things about having come to this small level of online prominence very late in the game (I had no twitter presence, I am a bluesky-only persona) is learning about years-long beef between people I both quite like that I was entirely unaware of beforehand
