Honestly @albomp.bsky.social how many more dead human beings will it take for you to do something, as a leader, as a human being, to recognise that what israel is doing is wrong and needs to be stopped, by any means at your disposal. Sanctions are desperately needed and this is the least you can do

Australia criminalises courage. Richard Boyle exposed ATO abuse & faces prison. David McBride told the truth on war crimes & is in prison. That's not justice - it's a warning to stay silent. On World Whistleblowers Day, we call for laws that protect, not prosecute, truth-tellers.

Labor has really turned Australia into the pathetic little lapdogs of genocidal maniacs.
This is horrifying news and we should be ashamed.

Slow hand clap to US voters who picked Trump. Your bigotry, racism and misogyny got rewarded, but the price of eggs didn’t go down and 1,000’s of innocent people in another country are going to die because of your president’s fragile ego.
Fuck all of you

Second-term Albanese Government can escape the Liberal veto.

It wasn’t a great dance card, let’s hope Albanese does way better this term.

If there is not significant policy announcement with this thumping majority within 12 months. Then the ALP would want to be rolling Albanese ASAP.

Second-term Albanese government can escape the Liberal veto
In Opposition, Anthony Albanese promised bravery, bold policy and optimism. Now with an increased majority he can act on those promises.

I’ve been saying this for most of my adult life — I don’t know why we put so much weight during political campaigns on candidate debates. I was a competitive debater when I was young, & altho I value those skills, they don’t overlap with the knowledge and skills I want in good leaders and governors.

Given how much more fucked up the world is about to get, the question isn't are you better off than you were three years ago - it's what do you think the next three years are going to be like and who do you want making the decisions? And that's not just about a PM, but the whole parliament.

This election campaign is pretty depressing in terms of the vision being presented for our country. But Dutton rolling out his 20-year-old son to ppl to pretend that he, Dutton the Dad, ‘gets’ how hard it is for parents watching their kids struggle - WHEN HE’S A MULTIMILLIONAIRE is so gross

Of course, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has no intention of holding a referendum on deporting dual citizens. It is just another of his thought bubbles to distract from the fact he has no real plans should he somehow win government.

Great thread from @amyremeikis.bsky.social on the perils of voting for Dutton and Trump Lite.

We say Trump Lite but there was much scoffing and laughing at Trump in 2016 and look how badly that has gone.

So when people show you who they are etc.

#auspol
I've spoken to half a dozen LNP MPs who had no idea about the citizen 'referendum' policy Dutton is backing in who all think it is nuts - but that is not the point. None are willing to push back because party stability these days means blind obedience, not challenge.
