We just got through an election where voters told us they voted on egg prices and thinking Biden was President in 2020 and people are arguing Dems lose because of “Latinx” and let me tell you that’s the most online stupid fucking shit I’ve ever heard in my life.

in 1967, senators rfk and joseph clark took a tour of the mississippi delta. they were horrified by the sheer scale of poverty, malnutrition, and neglect.

their report caused a national scandal. the scenes haunted kennedy; he considered it the worst thing he'd seen in his life.

I think we can all agree that it’s better for Americans to die than for any “illegals” to get medical care. (Yes that’s my sarcasm font)
JONI ERNST: When you are arguing about illegals that are receiving Medicaid benefits, they are not eligible

CROWD: People will die!

ERNST: Well, we all are going to die

Mainstream media needs to stop pointing out what "RFK Jr. gets right," because there are many, many trained public health officials who get the same things right without all the batshit crazy eugenics and woo.

Tariff czar sez if you disregard the effect of tariffs we’re doing great!
Peter Navarro on CNBC reacts to the shrinking GDP number by insisting it's actually good news because if you strip out the effect of tariffs "you have 3 percent growth. So we really like where we're at now."

I’m going with abducted for the 2 year old
To de_port is to un_port, the port being an official point of entry, like an airport or border checkpoint but if you were born here then you were never “ported” so you can’t be deported. It’s an inaccurate term. You’re looking for abduct, expel, traffic, kidnap, rendition, words like that.

I think this bears writing plainly: the reason all of these government officials and law enforcement agents are willing to break the law as plainly and unrepentantly as they are is because of pardons.

They expect to be pardoned. We expect them to be pardoned.

There is no law today. Only power.

1/4. On the White House’s theory, if they abduct you, get you on a helicopter, get to international waters, shoot you in the head, and drop your corpse into the ocean, that is legal, because it is the conduct of foreign affairs.

WELKER: The markets lost more than $6 trillion in value. Was this disruption always part of the plan?

BESSENT: We had record volume on Friday and everything is working very smoothly. So the American people can take great comfort in that.

Note to editors and producers: If an executive order demands action that is illegal or outside of the president’s authority, then you should not describe it as ordering something. You should say it seeks to achieve some outcome and then note it is illegal or beyond the power of the president.

“No money for kidney cancer,” Vieth said. “No money for pancreatic cancer. No money for lung cancer. It leaves so much completely unfunded. Yeah, wow. It’s pretty devastating.”

Wonder what percentage of America knows Elon is stealing cancer research for his tax cut?
Cancer research, long protected, feels ‘devastating’ effects under Trump
Cancer research has had bipartisan support. But Trump administration budget cuts and delays threaten to reverse progress of recent years, experts say.

But as the attack developed below, Thompson realised he was witnessing something something else:

A massacre.

He decided to act. 1/28

The entire point of a political party is to fight for the things its members believe in. We shouldn’t have to constantly do this much work to get the Democrats to do their core job. People shouldn’t need to beg Democrats to vote right or simply speak out. The party has failed its core function.
