Here is my conclusion after sitting through Maxwell's deposition with her refusing to answer a single question about the men who raped underage girls, saying she would only do so for clemency.

She must immediately be sent back to the maximum security prison where she belongs.

Carroll’s Law: When people actually read the privacy policy they struggle to correctly interpret it, paradoxically resulting in both an overestimation and underestimation of risks.

There’s a surplus of reasons to delete TikTok. Always has. Always will. But don’t spread the latest privacy policy panic because it’s kinda misinformation. techcrunch.com/2026/01/23/t...

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

3. While the president may have dementia his racism is not due to dementia.
4. He isn’t sorry. He means every racist thought he shares.
5. His base agrees with him.
6. He will do it again.
7. No one in power will hold him accountable.

FWIW the article has since been revised, with the original speculation on Trump’s awareness and AI synthesis omitted during the edit. The first edition matters tho.
What the hell is the New York Times doing?
In its article on Trump posting a video that included a clip of the Obamas as apes, NYT tries to help him come up with an excuse: "It was unclear if Mr. Trump was aware that the clip had been included in the video before he shared it."
WTF.

This is a clear-cut scenario where the press can definitively say either the president or his chief intel advisor is lying. This isn’t a debate over internal states. There’s no room for self delusion here.
Exactly right. Miles just laid it out plainly and suddenly the story snapped into focus. When the facts line up this cleanly, the denial doesn’t matter. This is why independent reporting still scares the hell out of them.

I expected the cuts would be bad but I'm honestly stunned and sickened seeing how many great journalists the Washington Post just lost. People who nailed huge investigations, documented war zones, exposed horrific crimes, dropped all at once for failures they did not cause.
