It's Monday morning. Where are you getting your coffee?

Because it best not be from Starbucks.

Don't. Cross. The. Picket. Line.

#NoContractNoCoffee
a great strike captain once said “anyone can cook, but only the fearless can be great” and we're putting that into practice on the picket line. we’re on national ULP strike to demand higher pay, better hours, and an end to union-busting at starbucks 🐁✊ #nocontractnocoffee

They are all such cowards, which is just one of the many reasons they cannot be allowed to rule us.

basically every 2024 truism is dead. Trump did not build a lasting multiracial coalition or turn young men into committed Republicans. You don’t need to cave on trans rights to win. The pundits have nothing left to tell you.

If the D.C. Sandwich Guy ever chose to run for office, my man would clean up.
Border Patrol agent Lairmore testifies that he was not injured by the sandwich, but he felt the impact through his ballistic vest.

The sandwich came apart and "kind of exploded" on his chest upon impact, he says.

"I could smell the onions and mustard."

They are such morons. It's astounding.
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

One of the best cases of data representation being arbitrary that I've ever seen.
By changing only a single byte in the code of Mario Paint, the music composer will not stop at the end of the song and instead continue to play the entire contents of the console's memory as music.

You couldn't invent a more out of touch politician if you tried. Pathetic.
@justinkcomer.rockhardcauc.us: Rob, do you have thoughts on ICE detaining the superintendant of DMPS?
Rob Sand: Uh, yeah, it’s pretty scary.
JC: Yeah?
RS: Yeah.
JC: So you would oppose that?
RS: [ignores and checks his phone]

An excellent piece. Check it out.
For our October issue I wrote about the Roberts Court for its 20th anniversary, how it helped lead us to the current crisis, and what should be done about it:
The Roberts Court Is Winning Its War on American Democracy
Chief Justice John Roberts has now overseen 20 years of increasingly illiberal rulings by the Supreme Court.

If you ever needed evidence that your work against this administration is having an impact, here it is. They are weak, they know they are hated, and they know they are going to lose. Everything they do to convince you otherwise is a trick to try to make you feel hopeless and servile. Keep going.
A press release to beg people to stop criticizing Trump and DHS & ICE agents who are attacking U.S. citizens, kidnapping people off the streets, operating concentration camps where members of Congress are not allowed in, and rendering people to foreign lands they've never been to 🤔

He's right, and it's not just Brazil.

Around the world, at least 31 democratic leaders who committed similar crimes have been jailed or banned from office since 2010. The failure to hold Trump accountable in the US was a unique and systemic failure of our institutions and political culture.

This freak went to my high school.
The Trump administration used Benny Johnson's claims that his house was "burned to the ground" and that "people were murdered in my front yard" to justify its federal takeover of DC.

@kenbensinger.bsky.social found out that Johnson made it all up.

As of 3:20 pm ET, @thexylom.com is projecting roughly 220k - 492k Americans attending Labor Day rallies nationwide, using a methodology developed by @gelliottmorris.com.

That would put "Workers over Billionaires" on track as one of the 20 largest protests and demonstrations in American history:

The tethering discussed here is very real to me as well. The people who did this to our friends and family members will never rest easy, and good riddance.
my DOGMA feature earlier this year made me think on how sniveling abusers like Dobson denied me a real relationship with so many family members.
