checking in here to recommend season 2 of HBO’s “The Rehearsal” to @prchovanec.bsky.social.

comedian Nathan Fielder sets out to address major aviation safety issues and becomes a pilot himself along the way.

his pilot training doesn’t occur until ep 6 (tonight’s) and i got such a kick out of it.

Just last week someone told me Trump would never shut down USAID because it buys so much US grain and I said, "I wonder if he knows that"
If only experts existed who could warn Americans repeatedly that foreign aid is money spent to pay Americans and buy things from Americans but no one's ever said it out loud so who can blame people for not understanding
U.S. businesses that sold goods and services to USAID are in limbo, including American farms dealing in rice, wheat and soybeans purchased as food aid.

Many are already essentially greco-roman pagans, worshiping power and strength and dismissing Christianity as a religion of slaves and women. you already see them join churches and then complain about how "feminine Christianity" isn't attracting young men when Andrew Tate is
These people would be so much happier if they read Nietzsche and denounced Christianity as slave morality. That’s what they want, really.

The purpose of this hearing isn’t to determine whether Hegseth will be the next Defense Secretary. Given how Trump’s GOP works, that is already a done deal. The purpose is to make perfectly clear that everyone knew exactly what they were voting for.
Hirono then asks Hegseth if he’d carry out an order by Trump to shoot protestors in the leg. Hegseth answers in a way that suggests that he would comply.
