A right wing asshole who hates LGBTQ people because “muh freeze peach”

The SCOTUS SNAP symtay is bad, but it's probably a political gift to Dems.

Before, the Right could (feebly) pin it on Ds, as with the shutdown, grumbling to their base about courts forcing them to fund SNAP.

But given the court's makeup, the optics now irrefutably lay it all at the Right's feet.

I understand why we shut down American airspace for a few days after 9-11 to avoid a repeat attack but imagine shutting down American airspace to avoid releasing the Epstein files.

Hell no
YIKES: NSO floats Pegasus spyware used in hypothetical "time of domestic crisis" in 🇺🇸America.

I believe they won't stop lobbying until they get Pegasus into USA.

To hack Americans. 1/

Uh, we've literally gone to bat for countless students protesting against Israel's actions in Gaza.

Immense money? Do you know how nonprofits work? I could easily be making 3-4x as much, at a minimum, in private practice.

Um, what?

"If you don't agree with everything the majority wrote in a decision written after your brief was filed, maybe you shouldn't have filed a brief" is an absolutely bizarre argument.
If you don't stand by what the majority actually said it seems like kind of a screw up to have filed an amicus that helped the majority write that decision

Absolutely bonkers stuff over here.

Like..what?
You hate trans people and want them erased from the planet Ari. Your actions prove this point over and over and over again.

This is so unhinged.
And he wondered why I thought they were taking up the campus drag ban case in Texas to purposely get bad precedent in the 5th Circuit. I don't trust these people. They hate trans folks and think our existence is one of the greatest impingements on free speech ever. It's pure hatred.

Being a feckless government thug isn't a protected class. Every business owner in the Chicago area should be refusing to serve or sell things to federal agents, and residents should boycott any establishment that doesn't.

Let them go to Indiana if they want food.

Turns out it wasn't the basement of a pizzeria they were looking for, but rather the bottom of a McDonald's bag.

While it would be frivolous, Carr's eager entertaining of the "news distortion" complaint against CBS for editing a Kamala Harris interview—and his language here—gives up his game:

Brendan Carr's assessment of frivolousness is based neither in law nor in principles.

Monday Morning Music Memorandum:

I've lost my mind at a Tweezefest or two, but for my money, Aphex Twin will always be the undisputed master of tension and release.

Every time I think about throwing out all the flatware that doesn't match, I find myself physically incapable of doing so.

Has Big Pharma invented a cure for this malady yet?

You do indeed have many choices. And the one you've made calls into doubt the sincerity of your belief that "social media is a cancer."

That's not what the false dilemma fallacy is.
Ruh roh! Logical fallacy alert 🚨 Saying ‘if you believe social media is a cancer, you wouldn’t be on here’ is classic false dilemma acting like there are only two choices when there’s a whole spectrum. We’re hardwired for dopamine-seeking and connection, even when it’s to our detriment

If you're ever tempted to believe or cite Jonathan Haidt's moral panic crusade against social media, you should consider that he's now also part of Heritage's crusade to criminalize porn.

Monday Morning Music Memorandum: 'Hell on High Heels' was the only worthwhile song on New Tattoo and was perhaps the only proper implementation of what a semi-evolved, no longer in the 80s, Motley Crüe should sound like.

In this post, I explain why fentanyl smuggling isn't moral equivalent of war/terrorism and can't justify Trump's extrajudicial killings.... and how on this point I'm in rare agreement with John Yoo: reason.com/volokh/2025/...
Why Fentanyl Smuggling isn't War and Cannot Justify Extrajudicial Killing
Thus, Trump's attacks on boats in the Carribean have no moral or legal justification.

One could argue anything, but not everything can be argued in a way that makes sense
I think one could argue that a Grok-as-editor policy puts the X feed outside of Section 230 protection
Brace for another wave of x refuges
