Everyone involved in the publication and promotion of this book should be embarrassed. It's not a "harsh truth" that COVID mitigation was a mistake, it's ghoulish and false.

Tbh the most realistic interpretation of the commercial is that the people using the AI have never seen a book IRL
Also, this thing doesn't look like a book AT ALL. The only way that even sort of makes sense is if it were open and face down, and a museum would never display a book that way.

Due to breach in the Desimone Levee, this area is under a GO NOW evacuation notice. Leave immediately if you are in this area.

We shouldn't assume every person who, for example, doesn’t wear a mask in public or doesn't use alt text is a total asshole (and accessibility needs do conflict). But you also can’t be surprised when disabled people are fed up. They’re excluded from society either way regardless of your intention.

every time I see an A-list actor in an ad for some slot machine phone game, I think about how Bill Murray's character in Lost in Translation doing advertisements is framed as basically the highest form of humiliation an actor could go through.

what do you MEAN y’all only read one book at a time
Left the novel I'm in the middle of at a friend's house... Which is a problem because today is a "snuggle up in bed early with a hot water bottle and a good book" evening. So I'm doing an extremely risky thing and... Starting to read... Another book... Despite being halfway through one already.

something i'll note is that if nuzzi ran catch-and-kill ops for rfk jr and lizza knew this prior to him being appointed as HHS, and instead of telling anyone, he decided to save it for his substack long after rfk jr had made communicable disease into federal policy, that's completely fucked
