My takeaway from being on juries is that the Ivy leaguers are weaker than you think it’s just that they apply to everything and are overrepresented because others are under-encouraged. the blood is in the water however so apply for that competition, that grant, that fellowship — you never know

Even with the amateur 2009 camera work and sound equipment from a Hoboken festival tent, Neon Rainbow by the Box Tops still hits. It's been one of my favorite songs since I first heard it 20 years ago.

Even with the amateur 2009 camera work and sound equipment from a Hoboken festival tent, Neon Rainbow by the Box Tops still hits. It's been one of my favorite songs since I first heard it 20 years ago.

Carbide & Carbon is one of Chicago’s best examples of Art Deco architecture. Legend has it that C&C was designed to resemble a champagne bottle...perhaps a nod to the ostentatiousness of the roaring 20's. It opened in 1929, so the "party" didn't last long even though the architecture endured.

This is just a lie about Australia not allowing US beef imports. American ranchers can just get a higher price in the U.S. so they don’t sell much to Australia. The U.S. sells just $2.5 million of beef to Australia each year, according to the Australian Financial Review.
