Short listed for an Oscar. The voice of the little girl is the actual telephone recording. The actors in the film are hearing it for the first time during the filming of the scene.

Heard a lad earlier talking about ‘Belgian whistles’

“A basic website costs 10k or 25k upwards if you want all the Belgian whistles”

Starmer has a remarkably short time to decide whether to align with the USA or Europe. Hours and days. A decision that will outlive Trump too

Looking for something positive, Trump has legitimised the decapitation of a head of state, i.e., more than just an ear lobe...

I remember as a kid, watching the first Star Wars films, and thinking the stormtroopers seemed weirdly incompetent, considering they had been trained by this militaristic, all-powerful, tyrannical state and could be supplied with all the best weapons and gear.

But I get it now.

Just catching up on tonight’s #TOTP. Seeing Keith Allen on there reminded me of this bit from The Chase.

Following on from my post below...

My grandson mentions that, in the past, German woodsmen would train male bullfinches to whistle tunes.

If you haven't heard this before, prepare to be utterly AMAZED by the bullfinch's ability to sing a tune so perfectly! #birds

Making English the official US language has to be the most unrealistic ambition that Trump could have gotten

Wow. Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde fearlessly calls out Trump and Vance to their faces. This is heroic.

I studied the Nazis at university, taught the history of Nazi Germany on two continents and wrote for major newspapers about Nazi Germany. I am internet famous for fact- checking chuds on the history, ideology and policy of Nazi Germany. That was a Nazi salute.

Given Baroness Gustafsson OBE CBE's role at the heart of one of the UK's largest corporate frauds, one may wonder if she is less an entrepreneur who knows about growing business and more a practitioner of the dark arts of creative accounting.

Ashby de la Zouch, 1946

First heard on a compilation of 1940s UK Dance Band tunes. Can only think the rhythm of the place name inspired the song as anyone familiar with AdlZ would know it is NOT ‘by the sea’ as claimed but stuck in the middle of the country.
