As more new people join the struggle, please don't mistake dour bitterness for wisdom. Should folks have been doing more & better work already? Absolutely yes. But we are where we are - even if you've tried something before & it failed, try not to diminish others' enthusiasm/momentum needlessly.

1) Since Bluesky is lagging behind on moderation, here’s a fresh bIock/mute Iist of N*zi Content & Far Right Trolls.

I’ve checked through them and most violate TOS, all are worth a bIock. Beware of the “parody” accounts pretending to be libs. Report content when possible.

Solidarity is not transactional.

If you're supporting someone's human rights only out of the expectation they'll do the same, you don't understand solidarity.

Everyone deserves human rights. Everyone, everywhere.

And no one is free until we all have them.

A helpful way of thinking about this: political capital is a singular resource. You don’t lose “kill the trans people” capital and not also lose “wreck the government” capital. Also, time and attention are bounded resources. You can’t do everything at once.
Something the "so you think the law means anything now" doomers fail to grasp: the importance of buying time. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, has infinite resources and infinite capacity for managing complexity.

Make your opponent work. Make their every decision complex and their every move costly.

When the the enemy has superior numbers, you don't go force-on-force. You have to adopt insurgency tactics.

All insurgencies are based on two simple principles:

1. Survive by denying the enemy the choice of time and place.

2. Impose a cost on everything the enemy tries to do.

This should be required reading for everyone. The breakdown here is critical in understanding action and in this case, lack of action.
In my self-defense classes I focus on how most people are socially conditioned to follow the norms of a civilized, polite society — and there is a MENTAL SHIFT required to use violence to defend from violence.

I'm reminded of this while watching our elected officials dithering and delaying. 1/

Everyday I'm on alternative social media sites, I am reminded that it's important to build #community offline and outside of political parties, especially the latter. I'm also realizing that many of us don't actually know how to do that and it's important we learn. 1/2(?)

I want people in the service and in other areas to be loud when decisions like these are made. Much like the companies, I decided to uphold DEIA in their businesses. It needs to be the same level of resistance.
The USAF has reversed itself "after uproar." We must continue to pay attention. We must continue to preserve & share the stories of the Tuskegee Airmen & the Women Airforce Service Pilots. I promised them I would always tell their stories. You can too. Knowledge is power! www.msn.com/en-us/news/u...

Saw this come across my feed and felt it's important to share. If you are in the gaming industry, do not do business with Golden Bell in any capacity. If more than one person is saying it, there's something to it. As the saying goes: where there's smoke, there's fire.
Golden Bell has dipped into board games more than once. They target newer creators who have a success crowdfunding campaign. With so many people entering the industry regularly - here's a refresher - NEVER NEVER NEVER WORK WITH GOLDEN BELL. Don't support ANYTHING Golden Bell does. EVER.
Oh hey, Alex Norris settled their legal case against Golden Bell. Something positive, at least.

What’s the difference between a gov controlling an algorithm, silently eliminating reach for things it doesn’t like, vs the same gov using its power, to demand that the platform remove the things it doesn’t like.?

In China they are overt. With TikTok in the US, they control silently
