CBP is detaining german tourist for over 1 mo because they accused her of intending to tattoo for $$ while in US. In jailing her to deport, they held her in solitary for 9 days, also kept her from her return flight Feb 15. She's still jailed.

John Yoo wrote the torture memos and is now a professor of law at Berkeley. Gina Haspel oversaw torture, lied about it, destroyed the tapes it was recorded on, became CIA director and now works for a law firm. We're a country that's just been waiting for people like Trump and Musk.
I appreciate the optimism behind the idea that one day people will pretend that they were against fascism, but I don’t think anything in United States country really supports this considering that there’s no real consequences for anything evil. And it’s actually good morals that gets punished.

Aside from the obvious direct harm, what's so irritating is that a handful of spoiled ignorant assholes are breaking things that we all built together. They weren't content to own almost everything, they had to wreck what little they didn't own. It's vandalism on a mass scale and has to be punished
