Lots of ppl finding me from a WordPress starter pack so let me just clarify:

I do have a WordPress-related job.

But mostly this account is politics, shitposting, and substituting lifting for a personality.
I truly don’t care what you eat or don’t eat on a holiday but making it part of your personal feeling of superiority is tiresome.

I'm actually really looking forward to the DC mayoral primary. Let's get some good candidates in there and let 'em fight it out.

And let's also have some of our, shall we say, unique local flavor candidates as well. No one has played a trumpet at a debate in YEARS.

I led a D&D camp for a group of 6 middle schoolers at my house this summer.

As a DM for children, one of my rules is "If you annoy me, I send a level 20 dragon after you."

I introduce this rule in a bemused tone that leaves them wondering if I'm serious. (more)
Wait, teachers *prohibit* 6-7?

*closes eyes*
*rubs temples*
*breathes deeply through nose*
Thing is if teachers want the 6-7 trend to disappear, nothing would do it quicker than kids everywhere knowing that Keir Starmer does it.

In addition to being a fascinating (if horrific) insight into a mostly-unknown period of European prehistory, this includes a BANGER of a quote: "I can see why all these people without heads wouldn’t be good for a community, and might be a cause for abandonment."

dogs don’t bark at parked cars
"My mentor always tells me, 'Kim, dogs don’t bark at parked cars." They’re coming after critical race theory, 1619, intersectionality because these ideas mobilized people. They gave them the language to actually articulate what they were seeing with their own eyes," says Kimberlé Crenshaw.

The context here is that, in addition to admitting girls a few years ago, troops are now allowed to be fully co-ed, instead of a separate, linked girls’ troop.

Our son’s troop is therefore about to have its first cohort of girls bridging over from Cub Scouts! We’re thrilled!

We do not travel for Thanksgiving. We invite all our local friends who don’t travel to come over. It’s the best and we never have to deal with family drama or political arguments.
Actually in the spirit of this conversation, what’s a decision you made about a past Thanksgiving holiday that really paid off? I think people often feel trapped by their lives. Sharing our experiences can liberate us from that sense of claustrophobia.
On the most recent episode of VIBE CHECK, we answer listener questions about Thanksgiving, most importantly “do you go celebrate with the family members you don’t even like?”

They should all be primaried, and should never know a moment of peace out in public in the District. These dipshits work for us and need to be loudly reminded of that fact.
These 20 House Democrats just joined Republicans in voting to fully repeal DC's police reform laws.

Wiping off the books critical laws on use of force, transparency, and preventing violent cops from getting rehired.

They think that they should have more say over DC police than the people of DC.

I agree about friends-at-Thanksgiving (and that’s what we do), but, hear me out:

Sometimes your friends are traveling to be with their families on Thanksgiving, so you need a separate event before everyone leaves town.

We just end up with at least two Thanksgivings every year.
I’m on a tear against “Friendsgiving” now. There’s already a holiday where you can eat Thanksgiving food with your friends. It’s called “Thanksgiving.” Making it a family-only event is a perversion.

The word's definition may be obvious, but Friendsgiving can mean different things to different people. Here are expert tips for how to celebrate it. n.pr/4pjeudt
