It’s been a year to the day we bought (and then didn’t, for reasons we still don’t fully know) InfoWars. We’re still trying. In the year since, we built The Onion into one of the biggest newspapers in the United States. I’m so proud of this place. I’m proud we do hard stuff. Thank you for caring.

The amazing thing about this admin is the corruption is so literal and so overt — in many cases, it’s just a direct transfer of taxpayer dollars to themselves and other b-villains from the show, like this is all completely normal, bc they can’t be bothered to extort corporations & interest groups

I was right there with you. And I read a full Sunday NYT over breakfast!
Cannot say enough what an unusual freak I was for subscribing to paper versions of NYRB, and economist and Harper’s and Atlantic in my 20s. I don’t even have the energy to keep it up and I was subscribed to so many things! The new generation just ain’t coming up behind me

My takeaway from every new Epstein revelation is that some powerful people victimized many powerless young women, many more knew, some actively enabled it--and we're still being told that MeToo and accountability for sexual violence have gone too far

The WSJ on how unbelievably stupid Noem and Lewandowski are.

I don’t care that I’m late to this; it’s to good to pass up.

Don’t miss this misogyny gem.

So glad all these men are still influential in our society and promoted by other men so our “papers of record” can ask with a straight face whether women have ruined everything for men or not

You have to read between the lines here to imagine what President Trump is proposing. But, it sounds like it may be a plan for health accounts that could be used for insurance that doesn’t cover pre-existing conditions, which could create a death spiral in ACA plans that do.

The time for the outrage was when this guy had dinner with the head of the party. But a lot of dudes have spent a lot of time saying they hadn’t heard about that for an awful lot of years now. Anyway.

The problem with political movements that think they can use fringe extremists to activate fringe extremists and then hide them all in a barn in between elections is eventually one of them sidles into town like they belong — which they do, in fact, since they belong to whatever movement used them
Four years ago, far-right white male supremacist Nick Fuentes was deplatformed pretty much everywhere.

Now he's back with a vengeance—and the online right can't stop fighting over whether to condemn him or welcome him. My story: wapo.st/4nJbt4M
Far-right provocateur Nick Fuentes is triggering a MAGA civil war
Once barred from nearly every social media platform, Fuentes’s resurgence has driven a wedge through the conservative movement.

Look, I know I poke the kids about fascism, but in a fascist state, you don't get charged with a felony about a sandwich and then walk out when a jury - and the nation - laughs at the prosecutors.

really important element of this basically total victory is that it puts the fear of god in republican incumbents and may bring the redistricting push to a total halt

Soft prediction, feel free to own me if wrong: by 2029 there’s a Dem in the wh. They will be elected in part on promise to hold the second trump admin accountable for many crimes. Shortly after getting in, median voter public sentiment will turn to “just move on, we’re done with that”
