Dreaming of @lanefab.com's bike access block.

Sunlit family size apartments, with bike storage in the Inner Eastside. This will be made possible if Portland passes Inner Eastside for All (and the state passes elevator/single-stair reform).

On one hand, I think we should teach robots fear with a boot. On the other hand, is it okay to kick something that's just a little guy? Years of sci-fi has left me with a soft spot for our mechanical brethren.

Phil Knight hasn't exactly been quiet about who he is, but seems to have gotten a pass in Oregon. Supporting Republicans at this stage is looking around and saying, "more of this please."
Yeah not cool at all. Says a lot about him.

Portland has a new museum, but its founders want it to be more than the new Northwest Museum of Cartoon Arts to do more than pay tribute to comic arts. They envision it also as a community center and teaching museum.

A new museum debuts in Portland that takes a look at the city's impact on the history of independent comics.

What do Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Comcast, Meta, and HP have in common?

They all once pledged to stop donations to anyone who tried to overturn the 2020 election.

And now they're all donors to Trump's White House ballroom. https://popular.info/p/these-corporations-stopped-worrying

I can’t put my finger on exactly why but having spent the last week in Williamsburg I am grateful for the ways west coast PNW hipster culture has diverged from the east.

I couldn’t try as hard as it seems to require out here.

I just finished the Deaf Webcomic Masterlist! 🙌

A masterlist of webcomics made by Deaf creators, active or inactive, as long as they’re still accessible online for free. Check it out and please tag any I missed! I know there gotta be more out there.

One more time for the people in the back: PEOPLE WHO USE TRANSIT THINK IT'S MUCH SAFER THAN PEOPLE WHO DON'T
Half the survey respondents say that they don't feel safe on transit, but this was not a scientific poll. It was a survey of whoever wants to respond. Still, look at this. People who use transit think it's much safer than people who don't.

Guided... missiles? For the frogs?
ICE is stockpiling arms, including chemical weapons, guided missile warheads and explosive components. The spending dwarfs anything we've ever seen in the agency - a 700% increase.

The President is building an army to attack his own country.

I need to sell my road bike but I don’t know that I want to. As a compromise I’m doing a bad job of selling it.

I draw a picture of it in a bar bathroom stall with my number beneath it. I ask the person in front of me in line at the coffee shop their opinion on low trail bikes.

This was inevitable after we turned all those frogs gay.
So is it a thing now that whoever's in opposition to the government and culture at large adopts a frog as their mascot?

If you saw a claw machine in the corner of your local bar, what prize would get you to drop bills?

I’m doing market research for when I buy a broken claw machine and never fix it, leaving it to linger in a dusty corner of my garage as monument to my unfulfilled dream of claw powered capitalism.
