Billions for Argentina’s Wall Street investors.

Higher costs for American families.

“America First”? Give me a break.

WTF. He's literally never done ANYTHING without complaining.
Trump: "If we die, we must die and we as men we die without complaining."

And of course we all have SO MUCH TIME to compare plans. That single mom who's working two jobs and also not getting SNAP? She can find reliable information and make an informed choice in her spare time. 🙄🙄
Think about buying a car, a fun, stress-free negotiating process that everybody loves. Now imagine that if you don’t buy a car you die and if you buy the wrong car you also die
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

Looks like the invisible hand of the market to me. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
ICYMI: Microsoft’s charge “implies a more than $12 billion quarterly loss at OpenAI, said Firoz Valliji, an analyst at Bernstein.”

That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

Mike Johnson’s position is young pregnant American women shouldn’t have to wait before being turned away to die in the parking lot from an ectopic pregnancy the hospital is afraid to treat
Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Her what, now?
Just as a reminder, Bondi’s origin story in Trump world is that she said she was going to investigate Trump University, Trump sent her a $25K check and the investigation disappeared. She later became Trump’s personal defense lawyer. So yeah, don’t challenge her integrity.
Bondi to Blumenthal: "You lied. How dare you? I'm a career prosecutor. Don't you ever challenge my integrity. Do not question my ability to be fair and impartial."

The word "run" is doing some awfully heavy lifting there.
"Republicans run the entire government but can't keep it open"

That's it. That's the whole story.
Yes. (And still getting "standoff" BS and "who will blink first" and "who will voters blame" from news.)

Trump and MAGA control the *entire* government. It's a simple fact:
- White House
- Senate
- House
- Scotus
- OMB (to the hilt)
- Every regulatory agency

They're in command. It's on them.

Oh my God he's SO CLOSE.
Trump: "Portland, Oregon, where it looks like a war zone. I get a call from the liberal governor, 'Sir, please don't come in, we don't need you.' I said, unless they're playing false tapes, this looks like World War 2."

Just spitballing here, but if this is something you can't live with then fully funded supportive services and healthcare instead of demonization and criminalization would go a long way towards ameliorating it while also preserving and recognizing human dignity which is a core Catholic value.
JD Vance on homelessness: "I don't know why we accepted that it was reasonable to have crazy people yelling at our kids. You should not have to cross the street in downtown Atlanta to avoid a crazy person yelling at your family. Those are your streets."

thinking about how the CR that Schumer and Democrats let pass in March blew a $1.1 billion hole in DC's municipal budget, but we weren't supposed to worry about that because Republicans definitely agreed to pass a fix (that has not happened)

Now Rs will cheer as Trump deploys troops on the streets

the wild thing about Cuomo is that he *literally* resigned in disgrace, and then after that launched some kind of delusional redemption narrative that makes no sense
This day in history, an abuser resigned in disgrace. He will never hold such power again. We won’t let him.
