No democratic politician is my family. They are not beyond criticism when they fuck up and they fuck up a lot. I’m not going to ever praise them as perfect. This doesn’t mean I don’t think the GOP is far worse. But I’m not some cheerleader clapping like a seal. If you want that I’m not for you.

People are being impacted. Lives are being affected. No amount of political maneuvering will hide those facts. We’ve settled for things being half measures when it’s possible to have more than empty promises. It’s time for us to not just ask but demand more from our elected officials.
