As soon as women were allowed to have a credit card in thier own name my MIL got one & had it it until the day she died. She also always had her own investments etc because she knew first hand the difficulties of being a woman in the 50s & 60s.

This is beyond disgusting, disturbing, and despicable. My heart breaks for these immigrants who did everything right and were days and weeks away from citizenship.

The replies show what is wrong with people's attitudes towards SNAP. A lot of people receiving the benefits either live in food deserts, work 2 jobs at minimum wage, don't have the luxury of time to make dinners from scratch etc.
