It has officially happened. I have been officially let go from my position at CDC. I wasn’t a probationary employee. I had stellar performance reviews every year.
I’ll be ok. But please understand that many worked HARD to get into these positions and were doing great public health work.

Answering some questions: the series covers the first novella "All Systems Red," I'm a consulting producer, and we've been working on it since 2021. (So it seems fast from the timing of the announcements but it has actually taken a million years in me-time.)
Yikes! Not great news for those of us who do wear high vis, reflective clothing. Drivers really should keep their eyes on the road but car manufacturers also need to test these things before releasing the product into the urban wilds
