Wonderfully wet and wild.
Make up all the bug hotels and bird boxes you want, but without way more healthy wild natural habitats like this, nature will continue to crash.
Rewilding is how we make that happen.

The vast majority of trauma survivors I've ever met don't want anything "special." They want the opportunity to find out who they are without the ghosts of their past polluting their thoughts, beliefs, & decisions-- autonomy that the normies take for granted.
No more; no less.
No more; no less.

it honestly bothers me people online are obsessed with purity so badly to the point they can't even handle Fictional Mistakes that people irl can make
weird disturbing fashy "if you make a mistake you MUST BE ETERNALLY PUNISHED AND SHUNNED!" mindset on the internet nowadays

talking about a webcomic people probably haven't heard of, but
'Dumbing of Age' had two female characters get together after genuinely nearly a decade of slowburn build-up.
The audience is fairly queer(-positive), but everyone is mad because the girls cheated on their boyfriends.
And ... okay lol

“Why are traumatized people so MISERABLE?”
“Too much disappointment teaches the system that ‘wanting leads to pain,’ and so it stops responding to potential rewards. … Biologically, it’s an adaptive silencing of the very circuits that make us feel alive.” www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/an-i...

How Chronic Disappointment Rewires the Brain
Chronic disappointment can train the brain to expect pain instead of reward. Restoring hope means reawakening dopamine through small actions, enriched environments, and new desire.

This is hard.
Big cat aficionados can’t always immediately tell whether a spotted cat is a leopard or a jaguar.
This isn’t that: here in Ontario—where cougars were extirpated—our Ministry of Natural Resources receives an insane number of “cougar” sightings. (Spoiler: it’s always a domestic cat. 🤦)

I strongly believe the smallest act of daily creativity can powerfully reinforce & fuel our trauma recovery.
Our bullies & abusers desperately want us forgetting how to make & share music, art, poetry, or anything else. Ask yourself why.

Here’s how giant pumpkins get so big
Cinderella took a ride in a pumpkin coach. Though real pumpkins do get big enough, here’s why their ride would be uncomfortable at best.

On Threads, the usual suspects are telling ppl about to lose SNAP benefits to just start a garden. As a gardener, I had to laugh. You need at LEAST an acre of land to feed a family of 4. Start-up costs are enormous. But yes, subsistence farming on the balcony of your rental apartment is the answer
