A re-introduction to my new followers. I'm Tim, a photographer in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada. You'll mostly find me posting wildlife shots here. But be warned, I may also sprinkle in some sports (Go #oilers) and the occasional political post. Look forward to connecting!
That half time show was fantastic!

Agreed. I do a lot of sports photography and when I'm scrolling Instagram and see how many photos I've taken are profile photos, it totally brings a smile to my face.

Yikes!

Oh, these stories are from public property. But even stopping on a country road near a property can cause issues. And I get it, rural crime has been an issue and people are on edge about people lurking near their homes, even if there's no ill intent.

I've had this in my calendar since it was announced. We're a big Muppet family! Can't wait to watch later tonight.

Thanks. Yes, I very much appreciate any chance I get to see these beauties out in the wild!

Easy to drive right past them. From a distance they certainly blend right in, either to a field or a pole.

My pleasure!

Ah yes, learning which properties to steer well clear of is an important skill for a photographer! Thankfully I haven't run into it, but I've heard some pretty frightening stories from fellow photographers.

It was a frosty, overcast morning when I was out driving back roads and found this beautiful Snowy Owl on a frost-covered power pole. It's not the background and setting one hopes for when photographing owls, but I'm always happy to find one regardless. #wildlife #owls #birds

This image is a bit different than my usual "style," if that's even a thing. Much more minimalistic given the Snowy Owl sitting out in the field. Not sure how well this image translates to a smaller screen (phone, thumbnail, etc.) but thought I'd share it nonetheless. #wildlife #birds #owls

She was north of Edmonton. It has been a quiet year for Snowies so far, so I was thrilled to find her!
