We said goodbye to Bam earlier today. She was at least 17. Her health and weight had plummeted, and it was time.
After about 15 years as a street cat on our block, she moved in with us during the 2023 ice storm.

Honestly, this right here is why I've become somewhat disdainful of hashtag-relatable writing memes that all seem to focus on how torturous the process is. After a while it starts to feel like the "I hate my spouse" jokes that make all of us wonder if The Straights Are Okay.

It might be alcohol in the wound, but maybe it's necessary, to realize that all the things we lost with tiktok evaporating - from misunformation, sure, but also autistic and disabled communities, nascent progressive movements, and a lot of our jobs - are considered the reason for destroying tiktok.
