My kid has this bear that I refer to as “topless bear,” which infuriates my kid because they insist that “it’s wearing a shirt!” So I put it to you: what’s up with this bear?
A stuffed bear with a distinctive area of its torso that is lighter and shorter-furred than the rest of it. Option 1: the bear has been shaved or removed its fur shirt, leaving its torso bare. (Get it?) (The stuffed bear has had nipples and belly button drawn onto it, digitally) Option 2: the bear is wearing a shirt (The iconic Milton Glaser “I ❤️ NY” logo has been drawn over the light torso area of the bear) Option 3: the stuffie is actually a human being in a bear costume that is missing the top part. (A human figure has been drawn over the bear body to indicate where a human figure might inhabit it as a costume)

Yesterday, on a holiday where kids go door to door connecting with their community, my sweet town was terrorized by government-backed thugs. Our schools locked down. We patrolled the streets, warning vulnerable people to stay inside. Helicopters circled incessantly. ICE get out.

I launched The THINGS Project IRL last night at a gallery opening at Twilight Kitchen in Roger’s Park! The owner, Christopher Sullivan, threw an incredible party for the opening. Wonderful folks came to eat great food and celebrate THINGS! Go see the show at T.K.’s market every Sunday from 10-3!
