Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

The thing I still can't forgive Corbyn for is the generational harm he caused by enabling Brexit. When Starmer is gone, hopefully soon, I will feel the same way about the profound harm he has caused by making it palatable for the Far Right to ditch human rights norms. It will be his shameful legacy.

"There is no problem being solved here, only harm being done."

All to appease the right, who hate them anyway - shame on them.

We are deeply saddened that both Girlguiding and @womensinstitute.bsky.social have been placed under pressure that has resulted in trans women and girls being excluded from their organisations

Appalled to see this image of Donald Trump and the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein projected onto Windsor Castle.

Please... for the love of all that is good, do not share it on all your social media channels... because it simply wouldn't be done to remind the world of the association

Sky News says police are "overwhelmed by the numbers". Met coped perfectly well with 2x as many at the pro-Gaza rally, 5x as many at the anti-Brexit march, and 15x as many at London Pride.

They're not overwhelmed by the numbers. They're overwhelmed by the ratio of violent thugs in those numbers.

When centrist politicians say "we need to tone down the rhetoric" what they mean is: the left needs to stop asking for better from leaders. After all, we've seen what they say about the flag-touchers and the hotel-yellers. They say it's good and valid.

You did it. The neo-Nazi gig planned for Great Yarmouth has been CANCELLED. ❗

Over 34,000 of you emailed the Home Office and spread the word. Local press, councils and police took notice, and under pressure, we have just received the news that the venue has pulled the plug.

is it only asylum seekers our Labour Prime Minister would object to living next to or would the sentiment apply to black and brown people in general? if merely the former, would he like to explain how he knows people he sees, say, in the street, actually are asylum seekers and not citizens?
Oh nothing, just the actual Prime Minister telling people they’re entirely correct to drive asylum seekers out of their communities

Not one mention of an opposing viewpoint. The idea asylum seekers should be treated with compassion or dignity is apparently beyond the spectrum of acceptable opinion. Balance simply does not apply in these circumstances.
