Does anybody remember the game at the Plex, I think it was against Sky Blue, where the refs were so bad, CSC even staff had to escort them off the pitch at halftime and after the game? Yeah, that’s what came to mind tonight.

In the half of football that I saw, barring all of the time spent at the monitor, the Spirit played really well. Lots to build on and they will be fired up next week. Haven’t seen any of the replays closely yet but three OFRs in one game is not a good look for the referee.

Just learned from NPR that the federal government is the largest employer in the great Kansas City area, for example. I found it helpful to be reminded that, of course, this isn’t just about people who work and live in DC. Federal employees are in all of our communities.
