Probably not great for the possibility of insightful, critical news coverage when the insecure narcissist politicians are being covered by insecure narcissist reporters.

at its heart, this story is a topography of how evil really works in the world - how much it’s a result of networks of people doing unconscionable things because they have deeply internalized not only the idea that the normal rules of moral behavior don’t apply to them but SHOULD NOT apply to them

it's so funny that alex jones was totally right about everything, the government is a bunch of drug-addled pedophiles and masked regime thugs are grabbing people off the streets, and now he has to pretend it's all a hoax

All things that could go wrong today went wrong. Sunderland deserve credit but they were extremely lucky too.

Half time analysis. They've gotten away with many malicious concussive fouls and Eze got fouled prior to their goal. No idea how Zubimendi gets a yellow, absolute lunacy. We still should have defended better and we're still doing okay for a team that's had their entire attacking focal point gone.

Watching Mamdani's victory speech, I'm struck by his—and his campaign's—unabashed vision of the US as an immigrant society, a culture built from the ground up from diversity. It is a complete rejection and reversal of the search for a white-washed homogeneity that the political right projects.

It's brilliant and exciting to see Zohran Mamdani elected.
More leaders like him please, and fewer like Cuomo, Schumer and the rest of the oligarch-pleasing, hope-destroying, election-losing, right-centrist political class.

Zohran breaks a weird streak in American politics, in that he is the child of a foreign-born radical professor but has not become a centrist

With Arteta, it is actually quite impressive how I/we expect us to win at least 20+ games a season in the league. He's set a very high expectation and the league demands it and he's been delivering this for 4 years in a row now. 22 - 26 - 28 and 20 last season.
