This hidden provision is so crooked and selfish, it doesn't even apply to US Representatives. Just US Senators.
Look at this new outrage. To open govt, we're retroactively letting 8 Senators sue for $500K each over having had their J6 phone toll records looked at. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/10/u...

This is not how we got Trump. I voted for Harris and you're allowed to criticize the party! Get real!
And this is how we get Trump. Do. Not. Split. Even when you're furious. Especially when we're furious. Understand the gravity of the moment. We're not supporting him. We're supporting the fight against masked agents pulling people off of the street and children starving to death.
I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city.

I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

The Progressive challenger just defeated the Republican incumbent to swing the Spokane City Council to a 6-1 Supermajority!

This isn't "internal recriminations." It's voters expressing overwhelming opposition to what the people they elected to represent them are doing, and anyone--either in journalism or politics--who characterizes it as infighting is either not seeing and hearing what's right in front of them or lying.
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

I guess what's really going on is that he's gonna make changes to ACA/"Obamacare" and then *actually* call that Trumpcare, like how NAFTA went away for the broadly similar USMCA, so Trump could take credit for the whole thing.

It's about naming rights, not policy.

Anyone who applies for a new, corrected, or replacement passport, or for a passport renewal, is at risk of having their passport issued bearing the sex they were assigned at birth.

President Trump's anti-trans passport policy is now in effect, but our lawsuit challenging it isn't over yet.
Q & A: Orr v. Trump | American Civil Liberties Union
Following a January 2025 Executive Order from President Donald Trump, the State Department began barring people from obtaining passports with a sex designation on them that is not the same as their sex assigned at birth. In response, the ACLU filed a federal lawsuit challenging the State Department's policy on behalf of transgender, nonbinary, and intersex people.

Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...

At some point in the last 20, 25 years people everyone on the left and center-left became too embarrassed to admit that they each have individual priorities and desires and that these should be sufficiently negotiated over.
Another meta-discursive tendency I dislike: there are many people on here, Twitter, elsewhere who claim to be against litmus testing in general when it comes to Democratic politicians but in reality just oppose a particular kind of litmus test (Palestine, LGBTQ, labor etc). Why the motte and bailey?
