In a world where the incumbent president bowed to pressure and stepped aside, it doesn’t seem like such a monumental ask to switch minority leaders.

I’m normally a fan of Lawrence O on MsNBC but the scolding he’s doing about those upset about Schumer and the Dems who caved is a big miss. I am over being scolded. I didn’t quit.
Our electeds quit.
And I will stay mad about it.

The Blue Wave hit Spokane!!
Eff the Senate Dems.
We will clean them out as we take over at all levels of government. 🌊
This gives Spokane City Council a 6-1 progressive supermajority. It will remain a staunchly pro-housing Council, and the sole conservative is a YIMBY Republican.

We tried to show them after the last surrender. There's no sense in trying to convince them anymore. Primaries are the only path to a fighting opposition party now.

If Chuck Schumer’s leadership position is not challenged after this, the Democratic Party will lose the last shred of credibility it’s holding onto.

Carefully choreographed votes and angry press releases are all cute, but the indication of whether anyone in the caucus really cares is whether there’s any push for leadership changes or punitive action against the cavers.

There won’t be, but that would be the theoretical sign this is different
The caucus meeting was just to orchestrate who would fall on the sword but not be up for a vote in 2026.
so currently defectors are:

Kaine (2030)
Shaheen (Retiring)
Hasan (2028)
Fetterman (2028)
Durbin (Retiring)
CCM (2028)
Rosen (2030)
King (2030)

Here we go! A call for new leadership by a nationally known politician. Who’s next?
This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working.

We need new leaders in the Senate.

I called both my Senators and left a message saying if they didn’t immediately call publicly and powerfully to replace Schumer as leader I will assume they wanted this surrender regardless of how they voted.

If Chris Murphy or other Dem Senator doesn’t immediately challenge Schumer, then they’re all in on it.

Pissed off Dem voters, let’s put our energy behind a party that will fight for the American People and not surrender to fascists.
Time to start replacing Corporate Democrats.
This is a bad deal for Americans.

Voters turned out in record numbers last wk to elect Democrats believing they would fight for working families.

We urge Senate Dems to vote NO on the reported GOP budget package, which fails to address the devastating health care crisis.

Time to start defining:

Corporate Democrats VS The People’s Democrats.
The Dems who are caving are doing so not because their base wants them to,

not because the voters want them to,

not because the fed workers and SNAP recipients want them to…

they are caving because their DONORS want them to.

And that’s really all that ever matters to the corrupt

Politicians complicate things. But this whole issue of why the House has closed down for the past 5 months and why Adelita Grijalva isn’t sworn in yet likely isn’t complicated at all. The answer is likely pretty damn simple: Trump is most likely a pedophile, and Speaker Johnson knows it. That’s all.

Note: according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, the US government will pay $138 billion this year on ACA subsidies. The US population is 347 million. If Trump sends that money to citizens to pay for their own doctors and surgeries and pills, that works out to $397.70 per person.

In what is perhaps the wildest possible upset of this election, @sardixit.bsky.social is now AHEAD of Republican Jonathan Bingle by 60 votes for the Spokane City Council Position 2 seat!

This seat has been occupied by Republicans for YEARS. For Sarah to flip it would be wild!

Spotify is crashing HARD because of the boycott. Their stock dropped 11% in value over the last month. Let’s keep this going!

Tell everyone you know to boycott Spotify. There are plenty of alternatives that don’t run ICE advertisements and screw over artists.

We made it easy at boycottspotify.com.

Jury nullification is good and it's a good sign for America's path out of authoritarianism that juries are recognizing their power to nullify.

The fact a *single* Amazon full-time employee requires SNAP benefits should be a crime. The fact Amazon is the largest employer of SNAP recipients is a disgrace. Jeff Bezos shouldnt be that rich; he should be in jail.

It’s a little frustrating that people are so apathetic about city elections when that’s where your vote counts the most directly and proportionately and for things that impact us and our neighbours in the most immediate way.

If there are local elections happening in your town BE A VOTER.
Non voters played a big part in getting us into this mess. Let’s fix that.

Answering my door and handing out candy tonight and chatting with kids and parents while all the neighbor text excitedly about running out of candy has been so heartwarming. I love living in a kind and generous community and will not give up on our country. 🎃💛

Spent my lunch break at home in the neighbors yard where she pulled up a ton of plants for me to transplant into my yard. I think it was really good for my soul. Connecting with kind humans is key right now.
