Stay tuned for Unicorn Riot's upcoming documentary named 18 Days, after the 18 day occupation of the 4th Precinct seeking justice for Jamar Clark in 2015. Clark, 24, was unarmed when fatally shot by Minneapolis Police. The officers were exonerated in March 2016.

10 years ago today, police attacked activists seeking #Justice4Jamar Clark. The police violently pushed people out of the 4th Precinct vestibule & shot 'less-lethals.' Community occupied more space, formed protective walls around the precinct, threw rocks, & even a Molotov cocktail to end the night.

I urge people to stop assuming people like beer - not for religious tolerance, but for me. I picked up a colorful can recently, thinking it was a fruity flavored water. Drank the whole thing to avoid offending my host. Hated it, but I give 3 stars for trying to trick kids into a life of beer.
you asked muslims to name their favorite beers lmao
We asked our mayors, City Council, Park Board, and, yes, the Minneapolis Board of Estimation and Taxation about their fav beers:

jamal osman announced this after deena winter at the strib tweeted about it first. i had heard about it several days ago too. IT'S HAPPENING! JAMAL!
I see on X that Osman has endorsed @elliottpayne.org for Council President while announcing his bid for VP. That ought to lock down the top 2 spots for Council Members not affiliated with Frey. That’s good for oversight. Mayor gained added Council power to sustain his vetoes. x.com/JamalOsmanMN...

ok, after a few days of processing this event, i am more worried than ever about 2026, and have realized any DFL win will be due to the leadership of DFL electeds & their volunteers.

the party apparatus is no longer being run by organizers, but by consultants. everyone should plan accordingly.
DFL listening session with chair richard carlbom at sabathani. he gave a presentation on 2026 efforts, including applying a brand strategy to the party, and then heard from people like ash who planned the ward 6 caucus and convention alone and is frustrated with a lack of support

the DFL has a problem with cyndy martin holding multiple leadership roles - like CD8 chair, and CBRC and code of conduct - while facing criminal vehicular homicide charge. she doesn't appear contrite. she appears defiant. she has evaded responsibility from the start

i propose a cultural exchange to reduce tensions:

the DFL could learn from DSA selling swag at their meetings. people love merch. easy fundraising.

DSA could learn from the DFL and not sing at the end of meetings lmao

dying at this DSA speaker introducing the meeting saying "one diva, one mic." is this robert's rules?

what’s the reason for reporting donations that were made under a company address as a minneapolis donation? like, these people don’t live in their office

i actually can't get over ward 7, which represents the majority of downtown, electing a woman to city council who says she wants minneapolis to be more like her small hometown of buffalo vs re-electing our councilmember who wanted to see us be more like berlin

going backwards!
